Hit Shop is born in 1996

We started off very small with mainly us selling cd's at concerts and festivals and believe it or not selling clothing out of a cupboard in my hall.

If somebody tells you we started off from scratch well we did. Because of the high demand for streetwear here in Bruges and the good variety of cd's we had the demand became so big that we threw our dining room out and put in more cupboards, that must have been 1 year later I think.

We started off with Lonsdale, Fred Perry and Ben Sherman that we got from all over the place, we crossed the channel at least 15 times that year.

Collections of Dr Martens, Getta Grip and Alpha Industries were also added to the shop. Then the licensing came on to us, we took on Hooligan Streetwear for Belgium which was a big step forward for us as this put us with the main players on the field in Europe .

I was working with my father in law as a driver and when I came home around 19.00h I had to get the shop open to 21.00h every night because of the special opening hours we had.

People (from all over the country) found it very good to shop after they finished working and we had to be open sometimes not only on Saturdays. The day's flew by working from 6.00h till 23.00h day in day out. Then we took on the licenses from Headhunter Streetwear, Troublemaker and Pitbull Germany and I decided to quit my job and try it fulltime.The shop doubled it’s size as we moved upstairs and fixed our roof so our bedrooms could be worked out in the roof.

The license for Alpha Industries was next and we were again over our head into work.

We took the biggest step of our live as we moved out off our house and rent a big shop 100m from where we live. It has become so big and the stock we carry can't be shown anymore as we haven't got the place to put it. The wholesale selling of the brands is growing out off or hands etc... the only solution was more space and now we have it what's next..... We are gonna stay on 1 line with the extreme, our shop has and will always have the hardest attitude and it's YOUR attitude !!!
